STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & ADVISING

Capturing lessons learned to sharpen a corporate financial well-being strategy

The Project

Financial Work and Wealth Strategy - Prudential Financial

Prudential Financial has long invested in building financial security and resilience through strategic grantmaking. With the launch of a new strategy, Prudential sought to reflect on past investments, assess impact, and highlight grantee accomplishments. To capture lessons learned and guide Prudential’s next chapter, I used a multi-pronoged approach that combined interviews, analysis, syntheses, and storytelling.

The Approach

  • Conducted in-depth virtual interviews with Prudential staff and grantee partners to capture diverse perspectives and surface candid insights.

  • Analyzed reports and documentation to evaluate how investments advanced coaching, expanded fintech access, and supported wealth-building outcomes.

  • Synthesized findings into concise written briefs that highlighted key themes, lessons learned, and powerful success stories.

  • Collaborated with Prudential’s communications team to transform findings into compelling narratives that elevated grantee voices and demonstrated the impact of Prudential’s narratives.

The Results

The work produced issue briefs showcasing grantee accomplishments and documenting impact. By combining grantee voices with analysis, Prudential gained a clearer view of past successes and emerging opportunities. These insights sharpened the Work and Wealth strategy, positioning the company to continue catalyzing innovation and impact.
