PROJECT COORDINATION
The Project
Maximize and Coordinate the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Investments
The Annie E. Casey Foundation is a national organization dedicated to helping build better futures for disadvantaged children in the U.S. Their Two-Generation Initiatives strengthen families by giving low-income parents and children the opportunity to succeed together. The Foundation had launched two efforts to further explore and build evidence on the effectiveness of this holistic approach to families, and wanted to increase coordination between teams to improve efficiency and impact.
The Plan
Together with leaders at the Foundation, we developed a plan to increase coordination between the Two-Generation Initiatives. It was vital that resources, learning and successful tactics could be shared, so we formed an internal committee to coordinate efforts. We increased collaboration through regular meetings, a newsletter, a conference and a framework was developed to coordinate all the Foundation's investments.
The Results
Their strategic focus and increased coordination boosted impact for their programs and maximized resource effectiveness. In short, the Foundation could do more of the vital work they do for families, and help more families succeed. The successful working relationship and positive results have led to Higher Heights having an ongoing working relationship with the Foundation, and the scope of work continues to grow.
