PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Coordinating philanthropic investments to strengthen families

The Project

Coordinating Two-Generation Investments at the Annie E. Casey Foundation

The Annie E. Casey Foundation sought to better align its Two-Generation initiatives—efforts designed to support children and their parents together—to increase efficiency, amplify learning, and maximize impact across its portfolio. I was engaged to provide project management and coordination support to strenghten these efforts.

The Approach

  • Facilitated bimonthly committee and subcommittee meetings, providing agendas, materials, documentation, and follow-up to ensure clear outcomes and next steps.

  • Designed tools and processes—including a work plan, newsletter, and restructured SharePoint site—to enhance knowledge-sharing and track progress.

  • Partnered with staff on budget planning and strategic alignmnent to ensure resources supported priority goals.

The Results

Through this coordinated effort, the Foundation strengthened collaboration across teams, improved knowledge-sharing, and sharpened its strategic alignment. With clearer processes and tools in place, staff were better equipped to build on lessons learned and drive greater impact for families.
