COACHING
Coaching Leaders in the White House Rural IMPACT Initiative
The Project
Coaching Leaders in the White House Rural IMPACT Initiative
The White House Rural Council created Rural IMPACT to enhance upward mobility for children in rural and tribal communities using a Two-Generation (Two-Gen) approach—supporting both children and their parents. I was engaged to coach leaders in two of the 10 pilot communities.
The Approach
Provided one-on-one coaching to help leaders set goals, overcome barriers, and drive systems change.
Focused sessions on refining strategies, building partnerships, and advancing community-led solutions.
The Results
Leaders developed new ideas, forged partnerships, and implemented effective local programs. Policymakers also took notice. Inspired by this work, Maryland’s Governor signed an executive order to study statewide adoption of the Two-Gen model—laying the groundwork for long-term public investment in holistic family supports.
